About the Mission

Over the years Kenya and South Sudan have realized enhanced co-operation in various fields including political affairs, trade, social affairs, and in regional peace and security. The Kenya Consulate in Juba was established in February 2006. On 9th July 2011, at the dawn of the independence of the Republic of South Sudan, the Consulate was upgraded into a fully fledged Diplomatic Mission. The establishment of the Kenya Embassy in the Republic of South Sudan was a milestone in the historic and fraternal relations between Kenya and South Sudan.
